A modern glass-fronted apartment and retail building at a street corner

Problem

The existing building glass signage was outdated and overly simplistic, resulting in poor visibility and ineffective communication. While minimal in design, the layout failed to account for real-world viewing conditions such as distance, reflections, and surrounding architecture.

Key information was not readable beyond 10 meters, making it difficult for visitors and tenants to quickly identify the space. The lack of contrast, weak typography, and flat hierarchy reduced both functionality and the perceived quality of the building's visual identity.

There was a clear need to update the signage system to improve legibility, clarity, and modern relevance while still respecting the transparency of glass.

Challenge

The main challenge was to enhance visibility and readability without overcrowding the glass surface. The design needed to strike a balance between modern minimalism and strong visual impact.

Typography had to be bold enough to be read from a distance, yet refined enough to remain professional. Additionally, the signage needed to work effectively against glass reflections and varying lighting conditions, while aligning with the building's architectural character and brand presence.

The solution also had to ensure consistency across all signage placements and viewing angles.

Solution

The updated glass signage design focuses on clarity, hierarchy, and distance legibility. A refined layout was introduced with a clear information structure, prioritizing essential details for immediate recognition.

Bolder typography, improved spacing, and higher contrast elements were applied to ensure readability from 10 meters and beyond. The visual language was modernized to complement the building's architecture while maintaining a clean and minimal aesthetic.

By balancing function with design, the new signage system delivers clear communication, improved wayfinding, and a more professional, contemporary appearance.
